Features:
1. The corridor on the fourth floor of the Design Building is planned as a dedicated exhibition space for student works. Transparent display cases are installed to showcase students’ learning outcomes, including selected outstanding projects and award-winning competition entries, highlighting students’ creativity and professional competence. In addition, multifunctional display platforms are arranged around the area, allowing students to freely present their individual works during courses. This not only enhances interaction between students and faculty, but also fosters a positive learning atmosphere of mutual observation and exchange, inspiring greater creative possibilities.
2. An open wooden-floor area is created and combined with flexibly adjustable trapezoidal discussion tables, providing students with a comfortable environment for discussion. Here, students can freely discuss design concepts, exchange creative ideas, and draw inspiration from relaxed and engaging interactions.
3. The “Design Chat Bar,” co-created by faculty and students, is a multifunctional discussion area that integrates practicality with creativity. It serves both as a space for peer academic discussions and as an ideal venue for faculty guidance before and after classes. Through this flexible and open spatial design, students and teachers can engage in in-depth exchanges at any time, further sparking an endless source of creative inspiration.
Practice Factory

Features:
The practice workshop on the first floor of the Design Building is equipped with professional facilities and spaces for metalworking, woodworking, ceramics, jewelry making, spray painting, and CAM. It provides students with hands-on learning opportunities, effectively integrating theoretical knowledge with practical courses, and achieving the educational goal of applying what is learned in practice.
3D Printing Lab

Features:
The department’s Digital Fabrication Laboratory is dedicated to realizing designs that are difficult to achieve through traditional subtractive manufacturing due to processing limitations or cost considerations. Examples include product lightweighting, complex or specialized forms, and localized structural reinforcement, while also reducing assembly time.
Inclusive Design Research Center

Features:
The department’s Welfare Design Research Center aims to integrate faculty research expertise and resources to maximize collective impact, promote welfare design research, and advance industry–academia collaboration. By embodying the educational philosophy of “industrializing knowledge and knowledge-based industries,” the center seeks to establish distinctive departmental strengths and achieve the goal of sustainable development in design research and industrial collaboration.
