Unlike the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">General English Proficiency Test<\/span><\/span> (GEPT), which focuses on general daily English, and the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Test of English for International Communication<\/span><\/span> (TOEIC), which emphasizes business English proficiency, BESTEP highlights English communication skills in academic and higher education contexts.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"580\" data-end=\"935\">Our university has been designated by the Ministry of Education as a key institution for promoting English proficiency enhancement. A total of 600 free test quotas are fully subsidized by the Ministry of Education under this project (currently pending final approval; in case of any changes, admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis).<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"937\" data-end=\"1131\">The <strong data-start=\"941\" data-end=\"978\">BESTEP Listening and Reading Test<\/strong> will be held on <strong>Saturday, 2026 May 23<\/strong> at the Taipei and Taoyuan campuses. Students are encouraged to seize this opportunity. Details are as follows:<\/p>\r\n<ol data-start=\"1133\" data-end=\"2510\">\r\n<li data-start=\"1133\" data-end=\"1286\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1286\"><strong data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1159\">Online Registration<\/strong>: <strong>From now until March 8 at 23:59. Admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis until all quotas are filled.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li data-start=\"1287\" data-end=\"1733\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1290\" data-end=\"1733\"><strong data-start=\"1290\" data-end=\"1318\">Test Results and Rewards<\/strong>: Current students of the university (excluding international students) may apply for incentives in accordance with the \u201cMing Chuan University Regulations for Outstanding Performance in Designated English Proficiency Tests.\u201d<br data-start=\"1542\" data-end=\"1545\" \/>(1) Students who achieve B1 level in both sections will receive a subsidy of NT$500.<br data-start=\"1632\" data-end=\"1635\" \/>(2) Students who achieve B2 level or above in both sections will receive a subsidy of NT$600.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"2007\">\r\n<p data-start=\"1737\" data-end=\"2007\">This English proficiency test has been included as one of the qualifications for applying for exemption from the required General English courses. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. (Not applicable to students of the International College.)<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li data-start=\"2008\" data-end=\"2510\">\r\n<p data-start=\"2011\" data-end=\"2510\">As the free test quotas are limited and valuable, students who register but are absent without valid reason will lose eligibility for future free BESTEP test applications. If absence is due to unavoidable circumstances, students must, within the same week after the test (late submissions will be regarded as unexcused absence), submit supporting documents to the English Language Teaching Centers at either campus in accordance with the university\u2019s midterm and final examination leave regulations.<\/p>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p data-start=\"2517\" data-end=\"2541\">Registration Notes (<strong data-start=\"2543\" data-end=\"2603\">Items \uf08c\u2013\uf08e are new LTTC regulations effective from 2026<\/strong>)\uff1a<br \/><br \/>\uf08c Starting from 2026, paper score reports will no longer be issued. Test takers with no violation records will receive a download link for their electronic certificate via the BESTEP official website membership system within 1\u20132 weeks after online score inquiry becomes available. Please ensure that the email address provided is accurate to avoid delivery issues.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"2974\" data-end=\"3200\">\uf08d After group registration data is uploaded, the BESTEP official website system will automatically send a \u201cCandidate Verification Email.\u201d Candidates must complete the verification process to proceed with subsequent procedures.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"3202\" data-end=\"3371\">\uf08e The electronic certificate will include the candidate\u2019s photo. Please upload a clear, front-facing photo that meets official ID specifications with a plain background.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"3373\" data-end=\"3639\">\uf08f Please complete the registration form below by 23:59 on Sunday, March 8 (AY 115). Any incorrect, incomplete information, or non-compliant photo uploads may affect admission eligibility and order. Admission results are expected to be notified via email by March 20.<\/p>\r\n<p data-start=\"3641\" data-end=\"3760\">\uf090 Test scores will be available online in mid-to-late June.
